Wolfgang Brickwedde is the founder of the Institute for Competitive Recruiting (ICR), Heidelberg. The Institute for Competitive Recruiting (ICR) consults companies on recruitment performance management. The ICR is acting as a platform for improving the recruitment function in Germany. This is achieved by facilitating the development of commonly used standards and benchmarks for recruitment processes reaching from employer branding to onboarding. In addition, the ICR is exploring improvement areas and consulting in the steps of attracting, sourcing, selecting and hiring of new employees.
Before founding the ICR, Wolfgang Brickwedde held senior management positions at SAP and Royal Philips Electronics in the areas of Employer Branding and Recruitment for various regions and countries in Europe. Wolfgang Brickwedde has a background in banking and holds a masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg. He served as the speaker of the board of the dapm /queb (www.queb.org) association of direct employers in Germany) from 2007-2009 and as a board member of the HR-Alliance (www.hr-alliance.eu) from 2008 -2009. He is a member of the judging panel of the 2011 and 2012 ERE awards for the categories „best employer brand“ and „best recruitment department“ (www.ereawards.com) Wolfgang Brickwedde is a renown speaker on the topics Recruitment, Sourcing, Employer Branding and Talent Management at various occasions and organizations.
